Dunagiri Shaktipeeth Temple

14 kilometres separate Dwarahat from the Dunagiri Shaktipeeth Temple. The goddess Durga is honoured in this temple. It is believed that when Hanuman Ji was carrying the mountain with 'Sanjiwani buti' for Laxman, a piece of it fell here and since that day this place is known as 'Dunagiri' ('giri' meaning fell).

Mahavatar Babaji Cave

The most spiritual caves in the Himalayan region are those belonging to Mahavatar Babaji, the place where Kriya yoga originated and where Yoga Guru Lahiri Mahasaya first learned the practise.

Pandukholi

The Mahabharata's Pandava brothers are honoured with the moniker Pandukholi (Pandav Kholi). The Pandukholi caverns are located 27 kilometres from Dwarahat. In the towering hills of Dunagiri in the Almora District, there is a picturesque location called Padukholi.

Yogoda Satsang Society (YSS Ashram)

In order to spread the teachings of our Gurudeva and Founder, Sri Sri Paramahansa Yogananda, in India, Yogoda Satsang Society (YSS Ashram) at Dwarahat was established in 1983. The teachings of Paramahansaji are disseminated in the other nations of the world by Self-Realization Fellowship (SRF), a sister organisation of YSS.
